Repair and maintenance

During this month of April there are fewer activities than other months. Academy are on termbreak and so their teachers take their leave,vocational projects are on but it is still affected because many of our students are househelps,and this is the time their employers give them their leave and so they travel upcountries.

So this is the best time to do repair and maintenace of the assets and the building,this week we are doing the repair of tailoring machines and repainting academy blackboard. We are hoping we will also be able to do the minor repair and maintenance of the building.

New items and materials for the projects

Tailoring got new iron box and belt for machines.

These items will help make the project's work better and we hope to get even more as we go on.

Hairdressing and beauty got new dummy heads for training,clipper,shooting gun,sink and waterheater

We are happy we were able to get some funds and bought some materials to help our project perfom better.
Academy were able to have teachers text books new syllabus, more chairs for the kids and new sufurias for the kitchen.

Program Semina

Together with the official business of the semina,we also had a good time of games and socializing. We left the seminar feeling refreshed and ready to face the changes and challenges ahead.

The founder and director of KTDP, Kjetil Korstvet led the team in daily discussions and brainstorming sessions. Through this he helped in answering staffs questions and elaborating more on the areas of the concerns.

The week before Easter we had seminar in Thika SACDEP centre where we had a wonderful time. The theme of the seminar was the future of KTDP and the changes expected in the course of the year and the coming year.  The staffs had a time to express their expectations on the projects and had open session where every sfaff was allowed to raise their concerns on the changes expected,they also were given opportunity to give their ideas on the changes expected.
